Conference in Moscow – Caring School 2018

The Conference will be held 5-6 November at Dmitry Rogachev National Research Center of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, Moscow.

The Conference will be organised by the the Department of Education of the city of Moscow, Project Office “UchimZnaem” (www.uchimznaem.ru), Dmitry Rogachev National Research Center of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital, National Society of Pediatric Hematologists and Oncologists in collaboration with Samsung Headquarters in Russia.

The Conference will be a meeting place for educational specialists from hospital schools and general education institutions, parents’ community, volunteers and all those concerned with the problems of children undergoing long-term medical treatment in hospitals on the following topic areas:

– Hospital school teacher – mission, core competencies, professional development programmes;

– Complex support of students’ educational aspirations during rehabilitation after long-term medical treatment and transition to home schools (return to local schools);

– Psychological studies as a potential for hospital education;

– Best educational practices for teaching students undergoing long-term medical treatment in hospitals.

The format of the Conference embraces plenary sessions, section meetings, round table discussions, workshops presenting good practices and poster session. Allotted time: plenary talk – 45 min., session talk – 30 min. (20+10), workshop – 45 min., poster presentation – 10 min.

No fee is required to participate in the Conference.

The languages of the Conference are Russian and English.

Proposals for contributions (150-300 word abstract) should be submitted by 1st October, 2018
